Micrographic Film, previously
known as Cibachrome Micrographic Film, is an extremely high-resolution
fine-grain, direct-positive working colour material based on silver dye
bleach technology. There are two versions of Ilfochrome
Micrographic film. Type M is a higher contrast material and is especially
suited to the reproduction of reflection originals and to the making of
master copies. Type P with a lower contrast value is used to for reproducing
transparent originals or as a duplicating film to reproduce release copies
from Type M masters. Ilfochrome Micrographic film is available
in a wide range of roll and sheet sizes to cover the requirements of its
multiple applications. It is coated on a 4-Thou (0.10mm) or 7-Thou (0.18mm)
polyester base for high flexibility and excellent dimensional stability. Ilfochrome Micrographic film is balanced for tungsten light at 3200°K. Its contrast and colour saturation are optimized for microfilming or reproducing copies from colour reflection originals. Ilfochrome Micrographic film offers extremely high archival stability and excellent resistance to light fading. |
